Catherine WoodStrategic housing land promoter Gladman is looking to expand its six-strong planning team in Scotland to take advantage of burgeoning housing demand.

Strategic planning director Catherine Wood (pictured) told Planning: “Our company has an ambitious growth plan for Scotland and the graduate will play a major part in achieving this.

“We are very focussed on delivering land for housing as quickly as possible and to achieve this we are looking for the best graduate candidates.”

The firm is seeking to expand by recruiting a new planning graduate to join a team that currently numbers six in-house planners.

According to Gladman, the postholder will be involved in site searching, local authority saturation surveys and land registry searches as well as planning appraisals and submission of planning applications.

“We recruit a planning graduate every year in Scotland,” said Wood.

“Over the last four years our graduates have come from Newcastle and Glasgow universities.”
