Consultancy Gerald Eve has appointed a senior Greater London Authority (GLA) planner as a senior associate.

Samantha Wells joins Gerald Eve following a 20-year career in London local government, most recently at the GLA where she worked for nine years.

According to the firm, Wells provided strategic planning advice for projects along London’s South Bank including: the Shell Centre, King’s Reach, Elizabeth House, Battersea Power Station, New Covent Garden Market and One Nine Elms.

She was also involved in infrastructure projects including the Nine Elms and Battersea Northern Line extension and Crossrail over station developments at Tottenham Court Road, Hanover Square and Paddington.

In addition, Wells has contributed to policy formation for various iterations of the London Plan and associated supplementary planning guidance, including several opportunity area planning frameworks, as well as providing input into local plan preparation and London Plan conformity, Gerald Eve said.
