Freeths announces planning appointment and promotions

Law firm Freeths LLP has announced an appointment and two promotions in its planning and environment consultancy arm.

The firm has announced that Andy McMullan has joined as director in its Manchester office to lead its planning consultancy in the North West and Yorkshire regions. McMullan joins from Knight Frank where he was a partner.

In Nottingham (pictured), meanwhile, the firm has promoted Mark Bassett to senior associate and of Liz Garvey to associate.

Bassett has previously worked at Nottingham City Council as a senior principal planning officer.

Head of the planning and environment group, Chris Waumsley said: “It is an exciting time for the planning and environment group and our continued growth reflects both our client’s desire for multi-disciplinary advice on development projects and that the group is widely recognised for its depth of experience and quality of advice”
