Consultancy LDA Design has appointed planner and architect Selina Mason as partner.

Mason was previously director of design at the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC), the mayoral body charged with delivering a legacy from the London 2012 Olympic Games.

While at the LLDC, Mason led the post-Games transformation design for the former Olympic Park in advance of it opening to the public in spring this year.

Mason was previously deputy head of design at the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA), the organisation that built the Olympic Park.

Prior to working on the Olympics she was director of architecture and design review at the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment.

LDA Design senior partner Neil Mattinson said: “Selina will not only help us assert our position as leaders in masterplanning and development planning, but also create new, integrated services for our clients.

“LDA Design’s partner team is now 12 strong, following the recent announcement of four new partners from within the business. Together with Selina, we look forward to the fresh ideas they will bring to the leadership team.”
