Essex garden communities body appoints strategic planner

A body set up last year to take forward proposals for three new garden communities across North Essex has appointed a strategic planning specialist.

North Essex Garden Communities Ltd is jointly owned by Braintree and Tendring District, Colchester Borough and Essex County Councils.

The body is looking to deliver new garden settlements at Braintree and Colchester (pictured).

The body has announced that it has appointed Christopher Downes as a strategic planning specialist.

Downes was previously employed within the planning policy team at Colchester Borough Council.
