Emms joins Nathaniel Lichfield

Consultancy Nathaniel Lichfield and Partners has recruited Newcastle City Council’s assistant director of development.

Chartered planner Harvey Emms will join the firm as a senior director in the firm’s office based in the city.

At Newcastle, he served in a number of senior roles including director of planning, housing and transport and head of housing, planning and transportation.

Jonathan Wallace, senior director and Newcastle office leader for NLP, said: “Harvey brings with him considerable experience and knowledge of planning and transport issues in Newcastle, Tyne and Wear and the wider region.

“He has extensive experience of working with chief officers across the North East and with senior politicians and MPs.”

Prior to joining Newcastle in 2001, he worked for 10 years at Ipswich Borough Council, ending up as principal planner.

He has a bachelors in town and country planning from Newcastle University.
