ELG Planning appoints director
Town planning and development services firm ELG Planning has appointed David Boulton as a director.
Boulton (pictured) has almost 25 years' experience in both the public and private sectors, dealing with strategic land promotion and property advice.
He joined ELG (formerly England & Lyle) having held the position of partner and head of the northern planning team for a national firm of property consultants.
The appointment reunites him with ELG director Jeremy Good, 17 years after they were colleagues in local authority roles in south west Durham.
Boulton said of his appointment: “ELG Planning has been involved in many projects across the region such as the former Terrys site in York and Tower Works in Leeds.”
Founding director Ian Lyle said: “Clients drive our success and David brings outstanding expertise in strategic areas.”
ELG Planning is based in Darlington and recently rebranded to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
With regional offices in Sheffield and Preston, the business is employee owned with three directors, eight chartered members of the Royal Town Planning Institute and two staff working towards RTPI accreditation.
