Consultancy De Pol Associates is creating a role for a new senior planner in order to expand its scope.

The firm, based in Leyland near Preston, currently deals with mainly residential and commercial planning applications along with some retail.

The team is expanding the team to be able to take on more work in a wider range of sectors.

The role will involve preparing and submitting planning applications, maintaining existing and building new relationships and offering planning advice.

Director Alexis de Pol told Planning: “We are creating a senior role and although we would want the new staff member to be able to fit in quickly and work on our normal work, if they gave us an extra skill set or experience then we would be very interested in that.”

The team currently consists of four members of staff and works with developers, private landowners as well as individuals.

The firm was founded in 1985 and became a limited company in 2000.

It recently worked on the submission of an outline planning application to North Tyneside Council to redevelop a 14 hectare semi-derelict industrial site for 400 new dwellings, open space, together with landscaping and associated biodiversity works.
