Croydon eyes planning expansion on back of ‘ambitious’ growth plans

A south London council is seeking to expand its planning team to help it deliver “ambitious” growth plans. 

The London Borough of Croydon said that it is “focussed on scheme delivery, using a wide range of development management and negotiation techniques to ensure that development is truly sustainable and contributes positively to the growth agenda – with all sharing the opportunities of that growth.”

To help it deliver this “ambitious” agenda, the council said that it is seeking to increase its number of permanent planning staff.
