Parsons Brinckerhoff appoints south west planning chief

Engineering consultancy Parsons Brinckerhoff has appointed Nick Dixon as south-west lead in development planning.

Dixon joins from from Peter Brett Associates, where he was a divisional director.

Director for highways, transportation and asset management Mike D'Alton told Planning: “We want to move the business and expand into development planning and Nick is key to that.

“We see the M4, London corridor, Bristol and south-west area as where the most opportunities will come from initially.”

Projects the company has worked on include the Taunton growth and urban extension plan for Somerset Council, east of Exeter growth area for the city council and Welbourne new community for for Fareham Borough Council.
