A south-west planning consultancy has said it is expanding its team to meet demand from growing client confidence, uncertainty over local plans and greater workloads generally.

SF Planning in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, has recruited Rob Ellis from Barton Willmore as a senior planner and Ben Williams from TerraQuest as a graduate planner.

Managing director Simon Firkins told Planning: “Increased confidence across markets has seen more work in residential, commercial, industrial and leisure sectors across a wider geographical area.

“There are increased opportunities due to the lack of a local plan in many authorities. In certain cases these are some way off being adopted; leading to extra work during this period of uncertainty.”
