Growing economic confidence has prompted a consultancy to recruit a new senior planning member of staff for the London area.

Midlands-based multi-disciplinary practice TerraQuest recruited Polly Harris Gorf, who was self employed before joining the practice, as planning service manager.

The service she manages will be delivered by a ‘virtual’ team of planning officers based at their home offices and from TerraQuest’s planning applications validation team in Birmingham.

Business process service manager Geoff Evans told Planning: “We are seeing an increase in interest in services across planning. I'd say it was down to growing confidence.

“There is lots going on and though we have a strong presence in Birmingham a lot of our contracts are elsewhere in the country.”
