Adrian FrenchA multidisciplinary consultancy is expanding further into planning for energy, utility and infrastructure projects by appointing a new director.

Adrian French joins WYG as director of planning for energy and infrastructure, based with the consultancy’s Southampton team.

French has 28 years’ planning experience and joins from AGR Renewables where he tackled wind farm and solar park developments. He is a former director at Terence O’Rourke.

Head of planning Steven Fidgett told Planning: “The government is focused on stimulating post recession growth and investment in these areas which presents a range of new opportunities for WYG.”

French said: “While there is currently a shift of emphasis under this government away from subsidising certain renewables, they still have an important role to play alongside gas and nuclear.”
