Collins to lead merged Savills planning team
Consultancy Savills has appointed Charlie Collins to lead a new merged planning team covering Kent and Surrey.
The firm said that the move to combine the two teams, based in Sevenoaks and Guildford, had been made to accommodate continuing growth.
Collins, a director at the firm, will move into the new role from his current position leading the Guildford office.
A statement from Savills said: “The Sevenoaks and Guildford planning departments will be amalgamated into a single team, to facilitate a more co-ordinated approach to clients and joint working across Savills development business.”
Prior to joining Savills, Collins was a planning policy officer at Southampton City Council between 2003 and 2007.
He also served as young planners’ trustee on the RTPI executive board between 2008 and 2009.
He has a master’s degree in town planning from University College London, plus a bachelor’s degree in geography and economics from University of Reading.
