Exeter strengthens development management team

Exeter City Council has recruited an interim development manager to focus on housing delivery, commercial and transport projects.

Derek Lawrence has joined the Devon council from West Lindsey District Council in Lincolnshire where he was also a development manager.

He told Planning: “As part of the development management team I help deal with major and minor applications including housing.

“Big applications we are dealing with include the redevelopment of the former Exeter City football ground into housing and improving a bus station to include new leisure facilities.”
