Chichester District Council intends to expand its planning policy team to help it progress work on a review of its local plan.

The West Sussex council’s Local Plan Key Policies (2014-2029) was adopted in July 2015.

However, the approval for the document from a planning inspector required the council to complete a review within five years to make sure sufficient housing would be planned to meet the needs of the area.

The council has begun work on this and is now seeking to an additional officer to expand its planning policy team to handle the additional workload.
