Consultancy CBRE has appointed a new director at its Manchester office.

Ian Griffiths joins the firm’s North West planning and development team from the Manchester office of fellow consultants GVA.

The firm said that Griffiths has a 30 year track record in planning and property in both the UK and abroad, and has advised clients on the delivery of major development and regeneration projects, including estate renewal.

He recently advised housing and regeneration quango the Homes and Communities Agency on their Starter Homes/Accelerated Construction programme and Manchester City Council on the Northern Gateway Development Initiative, CBRE said.

Griffiths said that his role would be to increase the team's portfolio of high profile projects, including those with a significant public and private partnership element.
