Carter Jonas hires new associate planner

Planning consultancy Carter Jonas has hired an associate planner in its new Birmingham planning and development team.

Carter Jonas launched the new team at its Birmingham office earlier this year under the leadership of partner and head of Midlands planning, Neal Allcock.

Now, the consultancy has appointed Laura McCombe as an associate planner to join the team.

McCombe joins from Boyer, where she was a principal planner.

She is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute’s (RTPI’s) Young Planners network and the Women in Planning network, and was awarded the RTPI East Midlands Young Planner of the Year in 2020.

Allcock said: “Laura has quickly established an exceptional reputation in the industry, and it is a pleasure to welcome her to the team.”

The Birmingham office opened in 2016.
