Property consultancy Carter Jonas is currently looking to add one senior planner to its London team and could open new offices as the economy recovers.

Nick Taylor, partner and head of planning at the company, said the company is seeing increasing instructions across its 28 offices.

“Our brand profile has grown significantly across clients in both the public and private sector, especially in central London,” Taylor said.

Work is increasing across its residential and central London portfolio, in part down to the economic upturn, but also because of what Taylor said is a “growing awareness and reputation of the Carter Jonas brand”.

Taylor said the firm’s planning teams have been steadily growing since 2012.

London started with two planners in March 2012, and is now nine-strong; Cambridge has increased by one to four planners; Harrogate by one to six and Oxford by one to six.

Taylor said the company may also look to expand its expertise. “We may add specialisms, such as retail and EIA in due course”.

“We will also look at new locations, mainly in the south and south west, complementing our existing network of 28 offices.”
