Built environment charity appoints former PINS chief

Built environment charity MOBIE has appointed former Planning Inspectorate director of major applications and plans, Mark Southgate, as its new chief executive.

MOBIE - the Ministry of Building Innovation - was founded in 2017 by TV architect George Clarke as an educational charity to engage young people with the built environment.

Southgate joins as chief executive officer after just over ten years at the Planning Inspectorate.
