Brown joins CBRE planning team

Consultancy CBRE has appointed Richard Brown as an associate director within its national planning team.

Brown joins the firm from his previous position as assistant director in the planning team at Deloitte Real Estate in Birmingham, where he worked for 12 years.

Brown will be reunited with Gary Cardin, who joined CBRE as senior director and head of the planning team in the Midlands from Deloitte earlier this year. 

Cardin said: “Richard is a highly experienced planner with a lot to offer in terms of his skills and knowledge of the planning system, which will further strengthen the services and advice we can offer clients, both regionally and nationally.”

He said that the appointment was the result of an increase in demand due to an increase in development activity.

Brown also previously held planning positions at a number of local authorities.
