Planning consultancy Boyer has appointed two new directors as part of an expansion.

Cathy Hall (right) joins Boyer as associate director of development economics from consultancy GL Hearn, where she worked as associate director.

Ananya Banerjee joins Boyer as associate director of design from John Thompson and Partners (JTP) where she was senior urban designer.

Jane Hirst, managing director at Boyer Planning, said: “With the return of confidence to both the property market and the development industry we’ve seen a rise in demand for our services, resulting in a welcome need to add to and strengthen our team."

Cathy has experience in a range of town centre, retail, leisure and mixed-use development schemes on behalf of a range of private sector clients and is interested in the policy-making and judicial aspects of planning.

She gained a masters degree in urban and regional planning from Heriot Watt University in 2006. Ananya has experience in leading urban design and mixed use masterplanning projects.

She has a bachelors in architecture and a masters degree in urban design from Leeds Metropolitan University.
