Bidwells staff

Property consultancy Bidwells has added two staff to its planning team.

Former RTPI Young Planner of the Year Alison Wright has joined from rival firm Savills, where she rose to associate planner after joining as a planner in 2010.

Baldip Basi has also joined the firm from small consultancy Resolution Planning, which he helped to found in 2013.

Bidwells head of planning Mike Derbyshire said that the appointments take the firm’s planning headcount to 45, which he described as “a clear indicator of our growing portfolio of work”.

Wright will be based in the firm’s Cambridge office, and has previously worked on major schemes in the East of England.

She has a master’s degree in town and regional planning from University of Sheffield and started her career at environmental consultancy John Martin and Associates.

Basi has experience in the retail and education sector. He has a degree in land management planning and development from De Montford University and has also worked for Savills and consultancy Hepher Dixon.
