Johnny Clayton of Bidwells

Property consultancy Bidwells has appointed Johnny Clayton as its new head of land and urban design.

Clayton joins the firm from architecture, design, planning and consulting firm Gensler, where he was an landscape architecture and urban design associate.

He will lead the firm’s national land and urban design team to provide landcape architecture consultancy including urban design and landscape planning.

Mike Derbyshire, head of planning at Bidwells said: “Johnny has the specialist knowledge, energy and creative vision essential for this role, but he also has an instinctive understanding of emerging developments in the industry.

“Identifying key design features to maximise the potential for the private rented sector market and the use of rooftops for restaurants in major cities are just two of the areas he can bring his leading edge skills to.”

Clayton is also chair of Young Entrepreneurs in Property, a networking organisation for young people in the property and construction industries and a member of London First’s Future Leaders’ Forum.
