Council officesThe London Borough of Bexley is seeking to grow its planning team by recruiting two extra staff as it prepares for a significant increase in homes, jobs and infrastructure in the borough.

“It is a time of significant change for the borough”, planning and housing strategy manager Mark Egerton told Planning.

“We are taking control of ongoing change by preparing a growth strategy, while working closely with partners to lobby the government for much needed infrastructure to help support that growth."

The council wants to recruit planners to two posts, infrastructure team leader and a planning strategy team leader to a policy team currently numbering around 10 planners.

“The postholders will play important roles in taking forward the council’s growth proposals, ensuring they are reflected in future plans and strategies," said Egerton.
