Stuart Thomas from Berrys
Chartered planner Stuart Thomas has been promoted to national planning manager at development consultancy Berrys.

Based in the firm’s Shrewsbury office, Thomas will now take responsibility for planning work across the firm's offices in Hereford, Northwich, Kettering and Towcester.

Thomas told Planning: “Previously I was employed on a consultancy basis – I picked up some national work, but most of it was local. Now I will have full responsibility for all of the firm’s work across all of its offices.”

Thomas gained a BA in town planning at Aberystwyth University before going to work as a planning liaison officer at the Environment Agency, where he completed a part time masters from the University of Central England.

He then worked as principle planning officer in Powys County Council before moving to North Shropshire District Council and continued as a planning manager after the council merged with its neighbours to form unitary Shropshire Council.

He joined Berrys a year ago.
