Barnes recruited by Barton Willmore
Craig Barnes has joined planning consultancy Barton Willmore’s Manchester office as a planner.
He starts his new role after three years at development firm Gladman Developments in Congleton, Lancashire.
As an assistant planning policy planner, he built up experience in working on planning applications, preparing evidence for and appearing at local plan examinations and promoting sites through the local development framework process.
Dan Mitchell, Barton Willmore partner in Manchester, said the appointment would help the firm cope with a growing pipeline of projects and clients.
Prior to his time at Gladman, Barnes worked as an assistant policy planner at Harrogate Borough Council, where he assisted with the council’s site allocations development plan document.
He has a master’s degree in town planning and a bachelor’s in urban studies and planning, both from the University of Sheffield.
