Anna Clark has joined Mendip District Council in Somerset as principal economic growth planner.

Clark previously worked for six years as a senior planner at Alder King Planning Consultants in Bristol.

She also gained experience in development management and enforcement while employed by Rushmoor and Epsom & Ewell Borough Councils and as a planner at British Waterways (now the Canal and River Trust).

Speaking of her new role, Clark said: “I will be focused on helping to drive economic growth in Mendip through promoting Mendip as a place to do business, dealing with major planning applications and taking the lead in progressing the Royal Bath and West Showground Enterprise Area Local Development Order.”
