A growing order book has led environmental and engineering firm Amec to expand its planning function.

The firm is looking for town planners at assistant consultant and consultant level in its Leamington Spa and Newcastle-Upon-Tyne offices.

The roles will involve the provision of planning support and advice as members of multi-disciplinary technical teams, assisting with the preparation of planning applications and environmental statements, as well as advising on the promotion of land through the planning systems and making representations through the development process.

The firm said the expansion was taking place “due to our continued success working on major development projects across the country”.

The roles would also involve supporting the firm in winning new business.
Candidates will be expected to either be a full member of the RTPI or working towards this, and have private sector experience.
