Planning & Permit Manager

We are working with a large UK resource and waste management company who are looking to appoint a Planning & Permit Manager.
 
Due to a new position coming up within the property team they are looking to interview asap. This is a great opportunity for someone who is self sufficient and is happy working at home with a degree of remote working to various sites.
 
Reporting to the Group Estates & Property Manager the purpose of the role is to lead all Planning and Permit work in relation to developments managed by wider property team. The remit is to manage budgets and consultant with teams to deliver and support the operating business. Whilst not essential, those who are MRTPI and having worked in a similar sector will be preferred.
 
You will support the Regional Operational teams in all Planning and Permit related matters. This is to cover landfill, recycling, and Green Energy divisions and also support the Estates Development Manager in the delivery of the added value projects across the Region for the FCC business.
 
Further, you will:
 
Support the FCC Property Manager in all bidding and development team matters as directed by the Group Estates and Property Manager across the region to assist in delivery of bids. There’ll be an element of support needed around the planning and permit works in order to assist in bid documentation requiring the estate’s input.
 
You’ll maximise the use of the Planning and Permit Surveyors in this role and manage the preparation and progress of planning applications and appeals (including written representations, hearings, and public inquiries) for relevant consents in line with agreed priorities within the region. Finally, you’ll provide professional and effective working relationships with planning authorities, key stakeholders, and external organisations.
