Assistant Planner/Planner | Manchester | National Firm
Penguin Recruitment are delighted to represent a leading consultancy with a national presence who are seeking an experienced Assistant Planner or Town Planner to join their growing Manchester team.
Our client are a highly successful consultancy working across the residential, commercial, infrastructure, land promotion, mixed use and environmental sectors. With an exciting number of upcoming planning projects taking place within the North West and wider UK, this successful planning team are interested in hearing from experienced Assistant Planners and Town Planners who want to be a part of directly shaping planning developments and policy.
With the opportunity to work within this growing team located close by to Manchester city centre, this is an excellent opportunity for a talented, ambitious individual who is looking for career development and growth.
As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to help deliver planning projects from inception to completion. Your duties will include helping to draft planning applications and assist with planning appeals, as well as helping to undertake community engagement, public examinations and development plan promotions.
In order to apply for this role, you must have:
- A relevant RTPI Accredited Degree
- A strong understanding of UK Planning Policy and current legislation
- Excellent organisational skills
- (Desirable) Post graduate experience within the private or public sector
