Senior Enforcement Officer - West Sussex

This Sussex-based Local Authority is on the lookout for Senior Enforcement Officer to add to their existing capacity.



About the role

You will be responsible for investigating breaches of control under Planning and Listed Building legislation. This will involve dealing with compliance of planning permissions/conditions, making decisions whether enforcement action should be taken writing reports and appeals.

You will also prepare reports on enforcement issues and presenting such reports at Committee. You will present evidence at the Public Local Inquiries and at Court in connection with enforcement and other issues as considered appropriate by the Enforcement manager.



About you

The successful candidate will hold a post-graduate qualification relative to Town Planning/Built Environment. You should also have proven experience working on similar projects in the UK and knowledge to hit the ground running with little to no supervision.

You will have excellent knowledge of Planning Legislation with prior experience handling complex enforcement cases and drafting appeals.
