Osborne Richardson have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Planner to join a busy local authority in the West Yorkshire. As a Planning Technician you will be involved with a range of administrative functions concerned with the processing and handling of planning applications including processing and determining planning applications including advertisements, householder, listed building, change of use and prior approvals. You may also be involved with receiving and logging applications, scanning and uploading onto the relevant database and validating applications to check for content.

Other duties will include dealing with inbound calls and providing advice to customers. On a day to day basis you will deal with a high volume of enquiries and you will help manage a busy flow of emails. Another key function of the role will be utilising our clients document management system to index application documents.

This role would be suited to a Graduate in Town Planning looking for their first career step and exposure to public sector town planning work or someone with good admin skills and previous experience within town planning and therefore a good understanding of the terminology and the planning application process.

The role will initially be offered for 3 months though it likely to roll on for longer and the rate will be around £12/hr umbrella as the role is inside IR35. Contact us ASAP if you are interested and would like more info.
