CIL Consultant - South East

A unique opportunity has arisen in an Authority in the South East. The Council are require a Consultant to assistant the Council in moving forward with a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) charging schedule.

Having completed the consultation on their preliminary draft-charging schedule recently, the Council are now seeking a Senior/Principal Consultant who can take it forward to examination.

In this role, you will be liaising with the Policy and Development Management departments in the Council. The role will be project focused, working on preparing draft consultations, gathering viable evidence to support the changing rates and submitting everything to the examiner. You will then present at the final draft consultation and examination.

The contract is likely to last a year and the Council can offer very flexible working arrangements and competitive rates. The IR35 status is yet to be determined.

It would be beneficial for you to have direct experience working on a Local Authority CIL charging schedule and having worked on the examination stage would be a bonus. Knowledge of policy planning within a Local Authority would also be beneficial.
