Galliard Homes are a leading urban regeneration specialist that looks at residential, mixed-use, hotel and commercial projects across London and Southern England. We are looking to expand the planning function to co-ordinate with planned ground of the core business.
With a focus primarily on London, we are looking for an experienced Planning Manager to 'hit the ground running’ and manage a portfolio of development sites at various stages of the planning process. Reporting to the Architectural Director, the successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record in land and planning, ideally gained with a Residential Developer or Agency. They will be able to provide site feasibility, co-ordinate design team and project budgets, manage the pre-application process, negotiate with Local Planning Authorities and deliver against project programmes.
In addition, we are ideally looking for someone who has contacts and experience primarily within London. Projects always use a quality bespoke design solution to respond to the sites particular environs, so two schemes are the same, and projects vary from high-value housing through to large-scale mixed-use redevelopments.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience;
- Experience of dealing with local and regional authorities (including GLA)
- Previous experience in a Planning Management role with a residential developer or consultancy.
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the UK residential planning and development process
- Ability to manage all aspects of a project, from land acquisition to the start of the project
- Will have strong communication and decision making skills
- MRTPI or MRICS qualified is highly desirable (but not essential)
Due to the location of the role and some travel to site, the candidate must have a full driving license and own transport.
