Project Manager (Major Projects)
A Project Manager (Major Projects) is sought for a Local Authority based in the East of England, to manage several mixed use infrastructure / construction projects. They will be responsible for ensuring that the projects are delivered within the agreed time frames, within budget, to specification and operational standards.
This Local Authority has a number of projects which are currently at the start-up phase and need to progress to the decision making stage in the next few months. These projects include mixed use developments comprising of housing, commercial premises and parking.
The successful hire will lead on a number of these projects and take responsibility for securing funding, managing stakeholder relations and project team performance, managing project budget and cost controls and providing the required management reports and briefings.
Applicants for this post must have proven ability of leading infrastructure / construction projects with public sector agencies, developers and contractors and have a track record of delivering complex high quality outcomes and schemes on time and to budgets. You will also have proven experience of managing capital projects and be able to evaluate competing budgetary and service priorities, and ensure that delivery is co-ordinated in a way that achieved maximum effectiveness and value for money.
The rate of pay offered is £450 - £480 a day.
A full JD is available. This has initially been released as a 3 month contract.
