Senior Planning Officer - Development Management - Berkshire- 6 Months

A council in Berkshire is looking for an experienced Senior Planner who can hit the ground running in the Development Management Team.

The Council require the Candidate to work on a mixed caseload of complex minors to small major applications and some householders. You will be delivering professional standard reports, including recommendations and conditions on planning applications within the constraints of Government legislation and local policy. You will be carrying out site visits where required and representing the Council at committee.

The Council is commutable from London and are prepared to pay competitively for the right candidate. The contract is for an initial 6 months but is more than likely to be extended past 6 months after a performance review.

You should hold at least 2 year’s experience in Development Management planning within Local Authority and a degree in Town Planning would be highly beneficial. You should have good knowledge of planning legislation and planning process and a desire to keep knowledge up to date, maintaining an excellent level of competency to deal with constantly changing legislation.
