An exciting opportunity for a Graduate Planner has arisen in a Local Authority in Gloucestershire. This is the perfect opportunity for a recent graduate to gain experience in a Council’s Planning Department.

The local area is undergoing extensive regeneration and growth and therefore the increase in applications has created the requirement for extra support within the Planning Team. You will be working on householder applications, extensions, changes of use and certificates of lawful development. You will be liaising with members of the public and providing Planning advice as the duty planner, carrying out site visits and writing reports.

Experience processing householder applications would be beneficial, but the Council would also be interested in recent graduates who are enthusiastic, eager to learn and passionate about beginning their career in Planning.

The Council are looking for someone as soon as possible and can offer an initial 3 month contract which is likely to extend past this and also there is the potential for applicants to apply for a permanent role.

If you think you would be suited to this role, please give me a call on 020 7766 9075 or email me on will.shipley@oysterpartnership.com
