In the position of Senior Development Management Planner you will support the Development Management Team Leader in undertaking the Council's Development Management functions in relation to minerals and waste developments.

As part of our clients Planning Services you will perform a part of a regulatory function in respect of minerals and waste related development proposals for both the public and private sectors; developing long term strategic planning policy as well as determining planning applications across the county for developments in minerals and waste.

The role as Senior Development Management Planner will allow you the opportunity to exercise your planning knowledge and experience in passing professional judgement on determining major planning applications and presenting recommendations to Planning and Regulatory Functions Committee.

Essentially as the Senior Development Management Planner you will have demonstrative experience of negotiating at a senior level with developers and consultants in relation to pre-application discussion, Design and Access Statements, planning applications and breaches of planning control. You too shall have the ability to work and meet strict deadlines, communicate effectively both written and verbally, and hold a full driving license.
