Principal Policy Officer
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Principal Policy Planner to work in a prestigious and diverse public sector institution.
You will play a pivotal role leading the Planning Policy Team in the preparation of the Local Plan Document which is currently out for Consultation.
This role encompasses managing a small team, allocating work and policy programmes, maintenance of robust evidence base data to underpin policy development and review.
Additional components also include development of communications strategy to consult with the stakeholder and community groups in conjunction with public agencies.
- Liaise with stakeholder and community consultation exercises
- Review and revise existing Local Plan Documents
- Liaise with neighbouring boroughs and relevant working groups
- Draft formal policy documents
Successful candidates will have proven track as a Senior/ Principal Policy Planner, preparing evidence based studies to support the local plan at a UK local authority.
Additionally, ideally applicants must have a degree in Town & Country Planning and excellent written and communication skills.
