Engagement Officer (community and town councils)
Are you passionate about creating more sustainable communities ? Do you want to be working in a small and energetic charity helping communities to engage with planning ? If you share our enthusiasm for positive change in planning, we want to hear from you.
This is a key full-time role in our small staff team based in Cardiff. You will help community and town councils to engage with planning by providing a range of networking and support services. You will work closely with our Engagement Officer (planning authorities) who is helping local authority planners to engage more effectively with local communities.
You will be part of a small and energetic charity which is helping to make planning more accessible and relevant to local communities. You will share our passion for doing things differently and enjoy working with people to achieve positive change.
The role includes:
a) Developing and maintaining a range of support and knowledge networks for community and town councils.
b) Co-ordinating delivery of our annual planning training programme for community and town councils.
c) Helping to raise the profile of Planning Aid Wales among community and town councils across Wales.
d) Helping to develop our volunteer resource.
e) Co-ordinating delivery of funded projects designed to help community and town councils to engage more effectively.
