Regeneration Planning Manager
Wokingham is a fast growing economy with major developments of over 13,000 new houses being delivered across the Borough. To support this growth Wokingham Borough Council has embarked on an ambitious regeneration project, delivering new homes, shops, leisure facilities and environmental improvements.
This is an exciting role for an experienced planning professional to join the Council’s regeneration team as it develops and implements the Council’s regeneration ambitions.
The successful candidate will have a strong planning background, either in the private or public sector, with MRTPI being an advantage. As the Regeneration Planning Manager, you will be responsible for providing expert planning advice to multi-discipline teams and across Council departments and to internal and external stakeholders. You will have responsibility in:
• Scheme development and masterplanning
• Consultation and engagement on scheme proposals
• Planning application preparation and submission
• Dealing with planning negotiations
• Implementation of planning consents
A key part of the role will be developing and maintaining strong working relationships and networks with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the coordinated delivery of the Council’s regeneration objectives. You will need to be highly motivated, enthusiastic and willing to go the extra mile.
