Senior Planning Officer
My client, a local authority based in East Midlands, are currently in urgent requirement of a senior planning officer to join their development management team on an interim basis. The authority are looking to get someone in as soon as they can and are willing to interview and offer as soon as the right person comes available. The role will last an initial 3 months, and the rates being offered are very good.
The main duties of the role will include completing a complex and varied set of applications, assisting the council with their ever growing portfolio of private sector clients, and to provide advice as a consultant on the use and development of land in the local area.
Desirable from applicants is a minimum of 3 years of previous planning experience working in a town planning environment, as well as a relevant planning degree and to either have or be working towards a full RTPI membership. Also desirable is experience dealing with planning committees, including drafting planning reports.
