Senior Planner (Bristol) - 12-18 months contract

A great opportunity has arisen to join a small but very well established planning consultancy team in Bristol. This firm have a great reputation and an impressive client list than spans across the country.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Planner (or strong planner looking for a progressive move) initially on a 12-18 month contract basis to cover a maternity leave but with planned expansion having already been in the pipeline, there is a strong possibility of the role becoming permanent at the end of this period. The firm deal with a really interesting range of clients including major and independent housebuilders, prestigious developers, leisure operators, corporates, land owners and public sector organisations. We are looking for candidates who are confident in client liaison, project management and have a good working knowledge of local, regional and national planning legislation. The workload will be a good mix of feasibility, application work, strategic site promotion and five-year land supply work as well as some appeal work.

We are looking for candidates who are MRTPI qualified, with recent or current consultancy experience operating at Planner or Senior Planner level. You should be able to demonstrate a good breadth of experience and planning knowledge and work well as part of a small team. There are great opportunities here for exposure to high profile clients, learning new skills such as five-year land supply calculations and any other areas you need support in, as well as the possibility of a permanent contract at the end of the period.
