Assistant/Junior Town Planner – Manchester £28-30 K  - plus benefits/bonus

A great opportunity has arisen for a junior town planner to join an expanding property consultancy in their Manchester (city centre) office. This firm have an excellent reputation across the country for services within the Real Estate sector and a strong Town Planning offering.

You will be supporting senior directors on a portfolio of mainly retail schemes but also some other residential and mixed-use work. This work will involve preparing planning statements, planning appraisal work, preparing and submitting planning applications, sequential testing work and proving assistance with retail impact assessments where required. You will be working on a national portfolio containing high profile retail clients (food-store and high street retailers), developers, property companies and land owners.

We are looking for candidates with an RTPI accredited master’s degree with a minimum of 12 months UK based experience up to around MRTPI/Planner level. This can be from the public or private sector but should include development management led work. You should have a strong interest in retail planning and any experience in this area is certainly advantageous. You are likely to be working towards your MRTPI submission and full support is provided in this regard. As this is a national portfolio, we can consider relocators within the UK for this role.
