A local authority based in Hampshire is seeking a policy planner to help ensure that the Council’s planning policy documents as set out in the agreed Local Development Scheme are prepared and monitored in accordance with agreed timescales.
About the Role
You will help manage the process of public consultation and participation on Development Plan and Supplementary Planning Documents, as well as other community engagement undertaken by the section. You will also project manage research projects to support the development and implementation of Development Plan and Supplementary Planning Documents in liaison with other officers and any relevant outside organisations.
You need to have similar experience, and an in-depth knowledge of planning policy and implementation of local plans. It is important that you will be able to communicate effectively to team members all levels of your research and its outcomes. You will need to be an independent worker, who is goal focused and forward-thinking.
You will need to have a degree in Town & Country Planning (or similar) and be eligible for RTPI.
