We are working with a leading commercial real estate services firm. The company serves real estate owners, investors and occupiers through offices worldwide.
They are looking to recruit 2 new qualified Senior Planners to complement their London Planning teams. The role would suit a commercially minded and ambitious individual that is looking to advance their own medium term career plan, demonstrating a successful track record on larger projects with varied skills and capabilities.
The Senior Consultant roles will cover different work areas and clients, working on complex mixed use projects often including heritage issues. The Individual will require good analytical, presentation and report writing skills, and should demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach to service development, using ideas, knowledge and relationships to identify and communicate new opportunities to add value for their own and related business areas.
Whilst the ability to establish strong client relationships and serve existing internal/external clients will be a key facet of the role, we would also expect the individual to pro-actively identify possible new opportunities to make a business contribution over time.
The role
Assisting members of the Retail and Leisure team and other colleagues to provide advice to mainly private sector clients on a wide range of planning matters with a focus on retail, leisure and mixed use developments.
Responsibility for creating and writing reports.
Taking on responsibility for running own projects and, where appropriate, working autonomously. Tasks typically include:
Preparing, submitting and progressing planning applications
Undertaking retail and leisure studies
Preparation of representations to development plan documents
Advising generally on planning strategy, changes to planning legislation, etc.

Skills Required
Good IT skills (Word, Excel, MS OutlookPowerPoint and Project).
Membership of either the RTPI or RICS
5 years experience gained in England or Wales
Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
