The renaissance of Dudley town centre is well underway, building on the strengths of its cultural heritage to transform it into a vibrant town offering a high quality environment in which to live, shop, work and spend leisure time.
Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council has been successful in securing funding for the selective and sustainable redevelopment and refurbishment of the town’s many historic buildings through the implementation of one of the country’s biggest Townscape Heritage Initiatives (THIs) with a Common Fund of almost four million pounds. The principal funding bodies are Heritage Lottery Fund, English Heritage and the European Regional Development Fund.
The Council seeks professional project management support based in its Economic Development Team.
The successful applicant will be able to evidence and demonstrate a range of project management experience and delivery of historic and regeneration grant funded projects. You will also have excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with various groups including property owners and partners and will have good knowledge of the planning process and conservation requirements to enable the implementation of sustainable schemes.
The Council will select the successful applicant through competitive tender. Applicants will initially be required to complete a pre-qualification questionnaire in order to establish a select list of applicants to be invited to tender.
