Enforcement Team Leader
Up to £38,042 p.a.
These are exciting times for us. Things are changing fast. We’ve taken a long hard look at how our Planning Service operates and carried out a major restructuring. Now we’re more proactive, ambitious and customer-focused than ever.
Why should that be inspiring news for you too? Because the changes we’ve made also mean that there’s much more scope for career progression. Our Planning Officer roles are all now generic. That not only allows us to respond more flexibly to demand but also gives you the chance to broaden your expertise.
That’s not all.
We’ve re-organised the development management service into three teams: one dealing with major applications, one with minor applications and one with planning enforcement. The result? On one hand, a more efficient approach to dealing with planning applications – and, on the other, much greater opportunity to move around and gain valuable experience across the Planning team. In short, it’s what we call a win/win result.
You will provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of a team of officers, to provide an effective service that helps to deliver the objectives of our innovative new corporate plan.
Handling your own complex caseload of enforcement cases, appeals and other planning related matters, you will support the Section Manager with the management of staff and resources and will play a key role in providing a proactive, constructive and customer focused service.
With a background of working within a similar role, and a consistent record of successful evidence gathering and analysis, you will enjoy working in an innovative and challenging environment.
You will be a natural leader, who is able to motivate a team whilst developing good working relationships both internally and with customers and external contacts.
This is a great working environment, within a friendly team that works together to achieve results and meet customer and team expectations.
We also have opportunities for planning officer, S106 officer and support officer. Please go to our website for more details.
Closing date: 5 November 2012.
