Covering some 265 square miles, including 2 AONB’s as well as over 2000 listed buildings the need to protect such environments whilst promoting a vibrant economy in an area of high values and low wages will provide the right candidate with significant opportunities and challenges.
Applicants must demonstrate the following: Degree or equivalent in Town Planning, MRTPI eligibility or membership, an interest in landscape assessment &/or urban design. Proven Experience of efficiently dealing with all aspects of development management and experience of dealing effectively with the planning merits of the council’s case at all types of appeal.
